Social Responsibility
Mistequay International is a small budding organization that has a relatively limited impact foot print on the local economy and community at this point in time. The international exposure of our team enables us to be vividly cognizant of the scarcity and deprivation of the community inhabiting around our facility. We firmly believe that “Care begins at home” and with whatever little resources we can spare, we are trying to play a part in improving the plight of the small community living immediately around us, mostly below poverty line. Sitting quite low on the hierarchy of needs, the community in focus is scrambling for basic needs, so our CSR focus right now revolves around Food, Health, Education and Environment. Following are some of the initiatives and projects that we are involved with.
Food
Soup Kitchen AAN TRUST:
AAN trust, a local charitable organization feeds a 100 people once a day 365 days a year adjacent to our facility. Mistequay employees help manage the distribution of food at 11:30 am every day of the year.
Food Advances/Loans:
Wheat is the main staple food in Pakistan. At the time of the harvest of Wheat, it could be procured at a 15-20% lower price directly from the farmer. People try to purchase the whole year of wheat supply at the time of harvest to save money and to secure their food supply for the year. Mistequay advances money free of any interest to the deserving employees and selected people in the neighborhood to purchase wheat at the time of harvest. The money is paid back over the year in small installments.
Food Subsidy for Employees:
Mistequay pays 50% of the lunch bill for all employees.
Health

The Apprenticeship Training Program
We offer paid internships on an on-going basis to students from local Polytechnic Institutions. The internships are designed to offer training time to students on CNC machine tools and precision metrology gauges.
Environment
Focus on Recycling:
Most of the wastes of our machine shop are recyclable. We are supplying all our chips, end pieces and other scrap metal directly to local foundries after category wise segregation at our facility. We are delivering our spent lubricants and oils to a local company involved in re-cleaning and refining these oils for further use in low end mechanical applications. We are currently in the process of finding greener alternatives to our cleaning and part washing chemicals.
